  • Do you make any gold jewellery?
I do not use gold or gold vermeil in my jewellery making as I prefer to work with silver. I also really like the way that silver looks against the brightly coloured gemstones that I use. Plus Nanny B always wore silver... and platinum, although that's a material that I might use in the future!
  • How eco-friendly is Beryl & Silver?
I strive to be as eco-friendly as possible in everything that I do at Beryl & Silver. All of my gemstones, silver, and findings are purchased from UK family-based businesses with high environmental, social, and ecological beliefs. All of my packaging is etiher recyclable or compostable. I also make on-demand all of my backing cards and stickers in my Somerset studio using recycled materials which means that I can keep my environmental footprint to a minimum.

  • Why does my jewellery differ from your website images?
Every item of Beryl & Silver jewellery is handmade by me in my Somerset studio. Each piece is individual and therefore slight variations from the images shown on the website may occur. Please note that any personalisation is handstamped (rather than machine engraved) and each letter/number is individually hammered into the metal. Variations may occur - I think this gives each piece a unique character and any variation does not constitute as a fault.

  • Where is the Hallmark on my necklace?
Every piece of Beryl & Silver jewellery is handmade to Assay standard and will be Hallmarked when over the required 7.78 grams. All of the silver that I use, including the recycled silver, is 925 sterling silver so you can be assured that it is of the highest quality.
  • My silver item has started to tarnish, what can I do?
As advised in the product description, silver can be affected by elements such as exposure to water, heat, chlorine, chemicals found in body products/perfumes, and different skin types, especially during the summer months. I include a 'jewellery care' card with every order and recommend that you keep it for future reference. You can also head to the jewellery care page for more information. Every piece of Beryl & Silver jewellery comes displayed on a branded backing card and is delicately placed in a 100% natural cotton drawstring bag to keep your treasures looking their best.
