This amethyst cluster necklace is simple yet oh so elegant.
 
Each necklace is handmade in my Somerset studio using five natural amethyst beads and a classic 18in (45cm) sterling silver trace chain, finished with a bolt ring clasp and jump ring.
 
The superior-quality semi-precious amethyst beads are Grade A quality and are the most gorgeous rich purple colour - they are approximately 4mm in size.
 
Amethyst, a variety of quartz, is easily identifiable by its violet to purple colours which are caused by the presence of iron in the quartz.
 
Lightweight and comfortable, it is the perfect necklace for dressing up or down, and it would suit any occasion.
