These smashing Herkimer diamond icicle earrings are just fabulous.
 
Each pair is handmade in my Somerset studio using natural, Grade A-quality Herkimer diamonds and a pair of stylish 18mm sterling silver hinged full hoops.
 
The chunky Herkimer diamonds are of a superior quality and each stone is approximately 6mm to 10mm in size - they are beautifully cut to make them extremely sparkly.
 
Herkimer diamonds are not real diamonds, but in fact quartz crystals from the Herkimer region of America - but when you see how they twinkle with mirror-like shine and rainbow sparkles, it is obvious why they got their name! Each bright, sparkly stone is naturally different in shape, size, and colour, but they are all equally beautiful and make wonderful jewellery.
 
The hoops are lightweight and comfortable, and feature a hinge and catch - the ear stem clicks into the catch when closing. The hoops are a substantial 2mm thick and look beautiful with the Herkimer diamonds, but the gems can also be removed (via the earring catch end) if desired.
