These elegant Herkimer diamond icicle earrings are oh so pretty.
 
Each pair is handmade in my Somerset studio using chunky natural Herkimer diamonds, a pair of contemporary sterling silver shepherds crook-style earwires, and lengths of recycled sterling silver trace chain.
 
The Herkimer diamonds are a lovely quality and each stone is approximately 6mm x 3mm to 10mm x 5mm in size - they are beautifully cut, making each stone unique, and they are extremely sparkly.
 
Herkimer diamonds are not real diamonds, but in fact quartz crystals from the Herkimer region of America - but when you see how they twinkle with mirror-like shine and rainbow sparkles, it is obvious why they got their name! Each bright, sparkly stone is naturally different in shape, size, and colour, but they are all equally beautiful and make wonderful jewellery.
 
The earrings are lightweight and comfortable, and are perfect for dressing up or down due to their subtle yet playful nature - they'd really suit any occasion.
