This lovely lapis lazuli cluster necklace is really rather unique.
 
Each necklace is handmade in my Somerset studio using five natural 4mm lapis lazuli beads and a classic 18in (45cm) sterling silver trace chain, finished with a bolt ring clasp and jump ring.
 
Lapis is metamorphic stone made up of calcite, lazurite and pyrite, and is characterised by its intense deep blue colour and golden pyrite mottled patterns. It can also contain cloudy white calcite inclusion flecks and can vary in colour from a rich royal blue to a deeper navy.
 
Lightweight and comfortable, it is the perfect necklace for dressing up or down, and it would suit any occasion.
