This snowflake obsidian cluster necklace is absolutely unique.
 
Each necklace is handmade in my Somerset studio using five natural 4mm snowflake obsidian beads and a classic 18in (45cm) sterling silver trace chain, finished with a bolt ring clasp and jump ring.
 
Obsidian is jet black colour and is formed when hot lava cools rapidly. Snowflake Obsidian is a variation of this with unique grey-ish spots due to trace elements of cristobalite. These patterns often resemble snowflakes which gives the stone its unique name.
 
Lightweight and comfortable, it is the perfect necklace for dressing up or down, and it would suit any occasion.
